Hi from Norfolk

Welcome to the Forum. Nice looking 800, I'll keep a lookout for it

Welcome to the forum Mark. (y) I used to live in Dereham, is it still really East Dereham or has it changed to just Dereham?

Hello and welcome aboard Mark.
S2R looks very clean and tidy. (y)
If you're interested in joining in, we have regular meets on the second Sunday of each month.
This month was the only time for ages that we all arrived in cars, due to the -5° temps and heavy road salt, but there is usually at least one bike there even in discouraging weather.
We meet all over the place for a breakfast and natter. It's usually somewhere near the Norfolk/Suffolk border as we have a large catchment area, but could be anywhere. I think we are heading a bit deeper into Suffolk next month, near Halesworth.
Watch out for announcements on the East Anglian region sub-forum. Or drop me a DM with your email address if would like me to tag you onto the local email group.

Hi Mark, that's two forums we're both on!!

Do you keep in touch with Nick Aldhouse now that you've moved?

It may be about to change. Last week somebody stole the ‘Welcome to East Dereham’ sign on the A47 and rumour has it that East will be dropped when replaced. I am actually in Swanton Morley.

I have already checked out the local region section. Hopefully I will make it along to the odd meet but I have also just bought a lovely ‘68 MG Midget and do a lot of kayaking so there is always plenty of competition when the weather is decent!

We look forward to meeting you some time.

Is that a young Barry Sheene on your avatar by any chance?

Our late friend Capo from Wisbech was mates with Bazza long before he became famous they use to knock about together and sleep on each other floors. I heard quite a few unpublished stories about Bazza from Capo.
I still hold great affection for him, cheeky bugger that he was.

Capo also told me a story about Paul Smart who he also knew, (He knew everybody!) and the Imola winning 750 Ducati that he brought back home with him.
