Timing belt covers.

Okay this is a bit weird and I think this question has been asked a little while back, but I don't recall a satisfactory answer.

Is it possible to fit the alloy, Pantah type belt covers from 600/750 engines, onto a late 750 in lieu of the plastic ones?

I'm thinking they will obviously not be a straight superficial swap and would require the hard rubber back pieces to be swapped too, those would be the parts that would need to be interchangeable.
I'm hoping that early and late drillings in the heads and barrels for the inner covers are the same... Anyone?

This is not of massive importance btw... just a hypothetical project. Cheers.
