For sale: Polished/Cut belt covers for 600 Monster/SS (and possibly 750)

Could do with a bit of TLC to give them that mirror effect of newly polished parts, but would look good as is anyway. I have just quickly cleaned them with Belgom Alu.

Ideally, those belt covers should be fitted to an early (pre 98) 600 Monster or SS. They might fit a 750 as well but please check. I think the covers are the same but I can't guarantee this.

They can also be fitted to later bikes (I had them on my '99 Monster) however they will require a couple of washers on each bolt to space them away from the engine by 1mm or 2. Not ideal but it can be done.

I guess they could also be fitted on Pantah / Indiana 650 but now I am really out of my depth so don't take my word for it.

£80 posted or collected from Dorking (RH5).

PM replied to.

They can be made to fit your bike, it just won't be a tailored fit.

Are you sure they'll fit. I tried a set on my old 600 and they looked pants where they meet around the clutch.

Good luck

They were fitted to my bike. It's not the perfect fit, but it can be done.

Anyway if they don't fit the buyer's bike, they just send them back.

look excellent and a lot nicer than the horrible plastic tat that replaced the alloy covers

could happily live with the slight mismatch

anybody got some alloy covers for sale?

Sorry I only had 1 set. At the time, a couple of years ago, someone was selling them on eBay. But I got mine from a bloke in the Assen paddock when I was lucky enough to have a go at racing there.

I almost wish I had kept them to decorate the living room.

Don't have babies. They make you do things you'll regret. And mine's not even here.

Hmmm. Quite nice, but I do rather like the inspection covers on my originals...helps with my peace of mind to be able to check the belts easily from time to time.
Don't think they look too bad either, actually.
Cheap they may be, but they do the job efficiently, and I kinda respect that.
I suppose they could be tarted up with some stick-on carbon sheet and/or a bit of cutting, though open belts gives me the jitters. ..I've had cambelts break before (ford escort) and its not a pretty sight.
There is something special about polished alloy though.
