this is our thing, thank the lords hollywood has not gotten hold of this piece of history. Keep me posted re a possible run over to do the beaches pegasus etc, I met a very charismatic friend of my fathers (English geezer)who is a historian, runs tours etc he has a very lovely French wife who is an amazing cook (god bless french domestic tradition)

Space, I believe it was released on DVD in the states to dire critisism. I researve judgement until I see it.
It is apparently very long, in the region of 3 hours I believe, which it should be if it sticks to the book as it's supposed to.
Bloody typical, the film is made in England by English film makers, and is released in the USA long before we get it.
I don't know when it will be released over here. If I get a chance, I'll do a web search later.

Ok, cheers. Yerbs, I have to go back to the Western Front some time to check out Sanctuary Wood (trenches restored as they actually were-near Ypres) and Verdunne. Also to do Normandy Landing beaches.
