    ADVICE FOR THOSE LEADING RIDEOUTS

    1. Make yourself known to all persons who intend to rideout with you.
    2. We recommend the 'Drop-Off' system for group rides.
    3. Find out if everyone has ridden in a group before - if not explain any relevant info.
    4. Ensure all have enough fuel - and locate nearest garages to the meet point.
    5. Ask everybody to ride slightly 'off-set' - eg - do not directly follow the bike in front WHERE POSSIBLE. (this leaves extra braking room).
    6. HAVE FUN!

My local heritage narrow gauge railway hosts a classic car and motorcycle evening once a month during the summer, with a fairly open-minded view of the definition of 'classic', so I took my 2002 M750 ie along two evenings ago. The picture shows my black 750, with the two bikes that arrived immediately in front and behind me as I turned into the car park - they arrived from different directions.

The Red one is our very own Emzedder's. It was rescued by his late Dad Toni.
The Gold over Black one belongs to a chap called Ian. The two had never met before they rolled in at the same time.

Emzedder headed off with Ian to look at his substantial 750GT spares stash.
They both started up at the same time and pulled away together. It was a true Bellisimo Symphony, it actually made me tingle all over... Magical!!
 
It was a similar Bellisimo Symphony that made me tingle all over back in 1974 at the Dragon Rally when I first realised that I was going to have a long term relationship with a 750 Ducati at some point.
I believe I showed you the exact spot where that happened, Gary, on one of our weekender rideouts..

Serendipity indeed, Dacs, but then there has always been something magical about these bikes.
 
Yes I remember managing to avoid crashing into you as you wobbled pointing at the spot!! 🤪

In fact, on a hairpin junction just outside Betws-y-coed, east of the river, where the A470 meets the A5.
Its a hallowed spot in my world.
Sorry 'bout the wobble. That was my first time back. Got a bit excited.

The two late rally arrivals that evening were riding a yellow 750S and a gold and black 750GT just like the one in the pic.
The rumble reverberated around the wooded valley slopes.
I was smitten.
But I'd rather own my monster ... its the natural evolution.
