Only running on one side

Had an issue this today with a blowing inlet manifold gasket ,, took carbs off and replaced it with a spare gasket ,, its running and almost balanced but had to set airscrews at 4 out on Horizontal and almost 5 out on vert , but looking at my old records that was what it had before ? ,, still a little rough at idle and just off idle but OK past 3k revs ,,, but i will try new plugs tommorow ???

Also one 6mm hex bolt for the clipons is busted so have to take top yoke off and get clipon off it out and replace the bolt after drilling it out ,,,, ....before arranging MOT

OK its passed the MOT today ,but on the way there it was not running well would not go above 4k revs , I suspect that the float height is too low so fuel starved when going to main jet and not that great below that either.

Normally I set them at 13-14mm but this time I set it at 11mm as I have found a very old 1991 750ss manual that says 11mm ,,, clearly wrong ,
my later 1996 manual does not even give a float height,,, diirrrr so i am going to use the the monster 750/900 spec instead ,,
Carbs are off and tonight I will sit and re measure and reset the float heights to 13-14mm

What float heights do You chaps use on Mikuni CV carb

Finally The 750ss is now running absolutely perfectly , the carbs are now sorted ,, with new diaphragms, and the Y6 emulsion tubes it is now running very sweet at all speeds ,, not fouling the plugs , actually saw 140mph on speedo today which was probably about 127mph , very sharp acceleration at all points ,, back to how it should be ......ticks over nice too .
Clutch is also much better after greasing the friction plates ,, working well smooth changes and just a tad juddery in 1st gear when hot but not terrible, neutral is easy to find when cold but when hot have to get neutral before stopping , That may bed in or may see if i can get some thinner steels ,,,

A joy to ride the 750ss done over 160 miles on it in last 2 days

With regards to finding neutral, the good thing about the Ducati dry clutch is that, as it wears it gets better until, of course it doesn't... ;)
