Here is the obligatory photo of my bike in the TT pit lane. I took the 750ss as it was more luggage friendly and gives more weather protection.
Been a very frustrating few days, more time looking at weather apps than bikes racing. If there are any forum members planning to go to the Italian bike night ib in Port Erin on Monday, give me a shout. Though it might be a big ask with 3 races to fit in on Monday.

Hi bud, would love to go back for the TT, but now getting to be more inclined to head south for the 100 meeting, a bit more of a relaxed event. Last TT was 2016 I think, so a little while ago. Bike looks the part I’m new to the Ducati family so will see how it goes, enjoy your visit to the Isle and hey not too much Bushy’s Ale lol

Now you've gone and done it .... after watching last night's episode of ITV's coverage I was just about managing to hold off the sense of regret at not being there this year.
My last year was 2021 (yep, that's right, the second year of no racing due to covid, but a great chance to explore the island more thoroughly and get a few laps in).
Before that was 2019 when, like yourself, I spent much time weather watching ... though in my case it was peering out of my soggy tent in Kirkmichael at the clouds over the mountain.
Ah, special memories.
Went on the M750 (of course) and carried all my camping kit too. But then I do have a rather natty homemade rack constructed from 22mm copper pipe and fittings (I kid you not).
She was the best bike on the island too (in my very biased eyes obviously, but true nevertheless).
Port Erin is a lovely little seaside spot, well worth a visit for Italian night or not, and with a decent ice-cream shop too.
And if you're looking for a large plate of hearty grub at a decent price I can fully recommend The Marine Hotel on the seafront at Peel.
I would sign off by wishing you an awesome time but .. its TT week on the island, of course it will be awesome. There's nowt like it anywhere else on the planet.
