You must have had the operation to remove the webbed fingers then?
I usually avoid Kings Lynn and the malfunction junction. Downham Market is better, then Wisbeckistan and pick a way across to Spalding via the back ways... Worrying lack of Churches out there and lots of very grotesque scarecrows!!!

Not aware of the localised flooding affecting East Kirby, however, looking at the map, I would suggest staying in the A16 then cutting off at the E. Kirby turn. The areas mentioned in the flood earnings are mainly to the East of E.Kirby. The route i would normally use out of Boston (B roads) could be affected so up the A16 it is!

Looks like a dry day tomorrow :mand:
 
Guys, we're staying 10 miles south of East Kirkby and came through there this afternoon, no sign of any flooding.

A grand day out.....well two days actually

Thanks to one and all for the east kirby experience today, fabulous and great to see everyone again,and meet new members, pics are great smiffy.

Had a great ride over on Friday with Mark, taking in Buxton, Chatsworth,Chesterfield en route to east Kirby. B and B was brilliant, as well as being 200 yards from the venue and 100 yards from the Red Lion!

All was going so well, we had the biggest group at the event and a professional,looking set up, until the wind got up and put paid to the gazebo:thumbsdown:, not good, help soon arrived and it was dismantled and put away for safe keeping and repair....hopefully.

Lancaster was brilliant to see, wasn't as loud as the Gilera, ridden by Sammy Miller himself, and of course the V8 Guzzi.

Weather turned mid afternoon and a very wet return journey West followed, circulation almost back to normal.

So big thanks to Chris J, Mr Gazza for arranging the gig and of course the photo shoot in front of the Lancaster, a pleasure as always.:ukm:

Thanks to everyone for coming with your Monsters and especially those who came early and helped with the setting up... A wonderfully co-ordinated operation. You all did the club proud.

The shower soon caused an exodus, but I only rode wet roads as far as Boston and had a dry and interesting ride home across the forbidden triangle formed by the A17, A47 and A16.
It's a tradition for me to get lost in there. This time I discovered the village of Throckenholt, I kid you not... Maybe I turned off at Platform 9 3/4 and ended up in Middle Earth?
Some of the roads out there are very subsided and have large fissures looking like the cracks from an earthquake. I missed one pothole that you could easily fit a wheelbarrow into!...Who needs to tour abroad for an invigorating riding experience?

Also thanks for welcoming my friend Richard even though he rides an SV1000!
The lanc was fired up for every one to hear and watch, amazing sound, only to be topped by Sammy Miller's four cylinder Gilera, which could be heard above the four Merlin engines!
On our way home we dropped off in Boston to the local Lindstrand stockist, and goods were purchased! This also enabled us to shelter from the rain storm!!
Once the rain had past over, we beetle'd double quick back home.
