Interest is growing for this event, four of us have accommodation booked already One of the nearest places to Newby Hall is Boroughbridge, best western has a place there , the Crown Hotel and they have rooms available but you must ring the hotel direct as they have disappeared off the .com sites .I actually got a double room slightly cheaper than it was originally advertised on booking .com

If that floats your boat itā€™s Ā£135:00 for the double room including a full breaky.Ask for Dawn if you call.

The Grantham Arms also had rooms available .
 
So as well as aidie and his GTA 147 of Top Gear fame we have the following fine examples to show off to the unsuspecting attendees,

Ok folks We are trying to get this event sorted , I am not getting much response from club alpha directly but it would appear from the website the following applies:-

Motorcycles and passengers who are exhibiting, Ā£5:00.
Cars exhibiting ,Ā£10:00.

Two ways of doing this,
A) post up if you are going,PayPal me a fiver and I will register you.

B ) jump on the website and register yourself.

As we said before the intention is the get the club gazebo there and get an exhibit Established. Itā€™s a one day event and you can even wander about and look at four wheeled Italian exotica :thumbsup:

Paul, if there is anything I have missed mate please jump in :thumbsup:
 
Iā€™m assuming that they will allow me on to the display field with the car & trailer to decant the gazebo & bike & then I can move it into the public parking area (neither car nor trailer are Italian). Iā€™m also assuming Ā£5 entry for my bike.

Me and the Mrs are attending. We have booked a room locally the night before.
I've the UKMOC 'toblerone ' sign in my lock up, would you like me to bring it along?

Hi James, absolutely mate, letā€™s get ukmoc on the agenda at this event :ukm:, big redduke has the gazebo from the weekender and he is bringing that along so should be quite a presence, just need some bikes to impress the Ferrari gang :chuckle::chuckle::chuckle:

Hi Paul, thatā€™s what I am assuming too, it says Ā£5;00 to exhibit a bike, no mention of how it arrives on the site :)

Morning all, shamelessly bumping this thread , it would be nice to get a good display of monsters at this event.

Just five committed so far, c,mon you know you want to drool over some Italian exoticaā€¦ā€¦ and the monsters too :chuckle::ukm:

No not an invite for karaoke ! Itā€™s the Italian car & motorcycle extravaganza at Newby Hall, sooooooon , in fact very soon.Sunday 29th May

Big red Duke and I have undertaken a pincer movement with the joint organisers Alpha Romeo club uk and secured a pitch for the somewhat battered ( Lincoln anyone ? ) and bruised club gazebo .

The event is at Newby Hall, itā€™s everything Italian on wheels, plus ā€¦.capachinoā€¦.gelato ā€¦maybe .:) So come on , have a day out and support :ukm:

Entrance is a fiver for those displaying on our standā€¦.. we need someone who can explain in great detail the function of the desmo engine to Ferrari owners.

Route sorted, bike fettled. Can't wait to be bimbling across the Lincolnshire wolds, Humber bridge then through Yorkshire.

Thereā€™s someone by the name of Biot going from Norwich I believe. Heā€™s on the Ducati forum but he might be travelling on the Sunday.

If you fancy a coffee break just after crossing the Humber Bridge , James, we are 10 minutes from the northern end.

I would have been all over this as I live about an hour north of here but my bikes off the road needing friction plates in the clutch and possibly a new slave cylinder.
Enjoy the day, I went a few years ago and it had some lovely cars but not many bikes.
 
Be heading North soon, looking forward to this one šŸ‘ weather great at the moment,fingers crossed it stays that way.:thumbsup:
