• PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION WHEN ATTENDING A MONSTER MEET/RIDEOUT

    1. All riders ride at their OWN risk.
    2. The UKMOC will not be held liable for any accidents to riders/passengers/motorcycles whatsoever.
    3. You are deemed to be in control of your own motor cycle at all times
    4. Please let the ride leader know, if you are intending to 'peel off' en-route.

    ADVICE FOR THOSE LEADING RIDEOUTS

    1. Make yourself known to all persons who intend to rideout with you.
    2. We recommend the 'Drop-Off' system for group rides.
    3. Find out if everyone has ridden in a group before - if not explain any relevant info.
    4. Ensure all have enough fuel - and locate nearest garages to the meet point.
    5. Ask everybody to ride slightly 'off-set' - eg - do not directly follow the bike in front WHERE POSSIBLE. (this leaves extra braking room).
    6. HAVE FUN!

So we are no longer the Norfolk section we started off as. It makes a huge amount of sense to now be the East Anglian section, since for a long time we have covered Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire and indeed welcome members from any County.
As far as I know we are also the last remaining UKMOC group to meet up regularly.
Hopefully more area groups will get together or re-form in the future.

Our next meet will be on Sunday December 8th at Hillcrest Nurseries Café at Stanton. IP31 2DU.
We've already got a table for four despite the weather looking like Armageddon!

Please give me a shout if you think you might come and I'll book a bigger table..

Red warning for wind tomorrow will make for an interesting ride along with the rain, but I still haven't decided.
Checked the tyre pressures on car and also about to waterproof my boots, so both options covered.
Only booked a table for 4, but we might struggle to fill it? I love the way that café creaks and moves in the wind.
It's been a good year though, can't be too surprised on our 13th meeting of the year.

See you tomorrow.. 😶‍🌫️

Another wonderfully warm meeting with the Three Amigos, Dacs, DaveR, myself and The Lady Dacs Joining in via live speaker-phone. :ROFLMAO:

I decided in my wisdom to ride to the meet. It was only drizzling intermittently on the way there, but plenty of water and detritus on the roads.
I had to ford it a few times, quite alarmingly deep at times, but survivable.
I took the precaution of spraying my vizor with silicone before leaving and it worked a treat with clear visibility at all times.. Makes all the difference being able to see where you're going. o_O

Last night's waterproofing did the trick with no noticeable ingress except for the new panniers, which to be fair don't claim to be waterproof and come with inner bags that I opted not to use and now I know!
(I use Fabsil Universal Protector from Screwfix which seems to work well despite not being odourless as they claim. It stinks when when curing!)

I actually enjoyed the ride, managing to keep warm and dry. I'd rather ride on soaked roads while it's still raining than just damp from drizzle or dew, with that massive torque laid down with respect of course. I could have dialled in "Rain Mode" but I just keep "Nutter Mode" on all the time and splash away.. :p

Great to see you again chaps and a fabulous morning out.

Thinking of making it meets 14 this year with a Boxing day breakfast at the Kingfisher Café Walcott.
