Last bump for online tickets.
Ticket sales close at midnight tonight August 14th.

Tickets here.. https://ukbuellgroup.co.uk/em-s-day-2025

Weather still looking good for Saturday.
There's a group ride up to the show from Arbuckle's Diner at Downham Market after a breakfast.. Meet at 9am. All welcome.

A change of plans here means I'll now be attending, won't be at Downham Market but I'll go straight to East Kirkby.

Look forward to seeing you all there. (y)

I am not sure if I will make it tommorow ,, got a rescheduled legal case 3pm this afternoon which may run over into tommorow if im unlucky ??? its already been rescheduled twice since May ,,

, meeting was originally scheduled to start for 3pm last monday /tuesday but the other parties and the police did not attend again ...so my schedule is all over the place ......Hopefully its all sorted today but experience tells me that its may not be ??????? Looks like they are deliberately making things inconvenient for me and my solicitor who is fuming about the late timing before a weekend .

19:50 Just got home ,total waste of my time and my solicitor , hmm yet again other party and police did not turn up ,, im very angry as now we dont know when this case will come to court again or if the police drop the whole thing, it has gone on for 7 months and now 4 delays , but my solicitor and I are making official complaints to IOPC and an SAR request , which the local cops are not happy about as they know they are in the wrong in many areas including breaches of procedure , illegal search , illegal seizure and refusal to declare evidence , destruction of legal property and other red flags ho Hum ........

If I can get up early enough in the morning to ride 175 miles . I will try an make it to East Kirby ??????

I dont have a ticket but if I do make it I will chance it ???????????? will they allow me in ????

looking at the website for the event seems they wont do cash on the gate ,,???? looks like im outa luck,,,

Surely the event is open to the general public, in which case anyone can get in though you'd probably have to park outside.

A great day out chaps.
We had a good club turnout after all with DaveR, Speedy codger and myself riding up from Downham Market on Monsters
We met Dukedesmo there on his 944 special Monster and were joined a little later by Dacs on M1000Sie and Her radiance The Lady Dacs.

The general turn out was definitely down on previous years and seemed to be dominated by modern Moto Guzzis, which I'm afraid don't hold much interest with me, I wanted to see a few nice round barrelled 850 T3's as I'm toying with the idea of getting one (If you know one for sale..?)
There were a handful of interesting and well turned out bikes there among the background hum-drum.

My favourite thing was not only seeing their lovely Mosquito out in the daylight, but hearing it start up and taxi round for several minutes.
Absolutely lovely and far more worthwhile trying to get it flying than the Lancaster in my opinion.

I covered 240 miles, the ride up from Arbuckle's with Dave and Walter was on an interesting mix of roads, ranging from the short stretch of A16 that we had to use, with everything in between down to very bumpy single track lanes. Lincolnshire sure knows how to do a good bump!!!
Hopefully I set a reasonable pace for each situation? I had no complaints from my wingmen.
My only regret was setting out with just a T-shirt and my thin neck tube, which proved inadequate for the days temperatures.
Regret grew the nearer home I got and I was quite battered and tired. I feel great today though having stuck a heat pad on my neck and shoulders as soon as I got in. Not sure I'm still up for those 1000+ mile weekends I used to do!

Sorry I didn't get the camera out, maybe others will post some up?

Buell line up for Lancaster photo shoot
As with Gary we were feeling a bit beat up once we got back as far as Nirfolk but to put it into proportion we passed a couple of cyclists on the A17 about a mile north of King's Lynn. After we ordered up a quick drink in McDonald's they pulled in and we were talking to one of them - they left Peterborough at 8 am, rode to Boston, then King's Lynn and at 4 pm had another 105 kms to go to get back to Peterborough. I know the UKMOC group is knocking on a bit but come on, need to man up a bit? 😂

Not sure if anything is for sale at the moment but worth checking out the UK based, Guzzi Riders forum; https://www.guzziriders.org/forums.html
There's often something listed in the 'Bikes for sale' section and some very knowledgeable people on there.

I signed up when I got mine and it's been a great help, along with the US based. Wild Guzzi forum; https://wildguzzi.com/forum/index.php?board=1.0 though not much use for buying a bike, unless you want a (long) road trip.

I bought mine from a friend of my Brother-in-law's in Italy, incidentally a bike I saw when it was new when my then future BIL came round with some biking mates to pick my Sister up and his mate was riding his then new Le Mans2, little did I know that 35 years later I'd be buying it.

I know you're not looking for a Le Mans but the T3 etc. is almost the same bike; frame and engine are the same, (Le Mans has a few go-faster bits and clip-ons rather than conventional bars etc.) so, if you want to familiarise yourself with the marque, you're more than welcome to a test ride on mine.

Thanks for the tips Tim. Thanks also for all the info you gave me yesterday.
It just so happens that the Moto Guzzi Owners Club meet in my village on the second Tuesday of the month, which is this Tuesday, so I'll be trotting round the corner to see what I can mine.
Thanks also for your offer of a test ride, which means a lot. I got quite well acquainted with my ex brother-in-law's Mk1 Le Mans some years ago when I also had a Moto Morini 3 1/2 Sport. We often used to swap rides and hoon around Norfolk. I liked the Lemon a lot.
It would be nice to ride a T3 just to compare it to the Monster.
There's been a few changing hands recently and not going for a fortune either.
I also looked at a gorgeous 750 S3 which was local so I couldn't not. They also had a big trailer full of a dismantled and partially restored identical S3 which I was more interested in, but it went for just over £3000, so it was out of my reach for a project, which I would only spoil by fitting higher bars!

im pleased it was a great day out for all of you ,,, i went for a little run around on the M750 in Wiltshire ,, but pulled a muscle in my back somehow ,,, so now im paying for it today .....
