• PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION WHEN ATTENDING A MONSTER MEET/RIDEOUT

    1. All riders ride at their OWN risk.
    2. The UKMOC will not be held liable for any accidents to riders/passengers/motorcycles whatsoever.
    3. You are deemed to be in control of your own motor cycle at all times
    4. Please let the ride leader know, if you are intending to 'peel off' en-route.

    ADVICE FOR THOSE LEADING RIDEOUTS

    1. Make yourself known to all persons who intend to rideout with you.
    2. We recommend the 'Drop-Off' system for group rides.
    3. Find out if everyone has ridden in a group before - if not explain any relevant info.
    4. Ensure all have enough fuel - and locate nearest garages to the meet point.
    5. Ask everybody to ride slightly 'off-set' - eg - do not directly follow the bike in front WHERE POSSIBLE. (this leaves extra braking room).
    6. HAVE FUN!

Still going strong.
Next meet will be on Sunday May 10th at the Grumpy Goat, Bardwell. IP31 1AB.
10.30am.

We don't care what you ride, come on a Monster if you like..

A chilly day with a bit of spit in the wind now and then, but a very pleasant ride down to the Grumpy Goat on my Tiger, which is going really well and my favourite bike at the moment.
Lovely to see Roger, the Dave's and Steve already there, sitting round the table marked as reserved for The Plunkers.
I'm sure they meant the Plonkers, but who cares?
Another great meeting despite being a bit down on numbers this time, but folks have other things to do and it wasn't the most pleasant of weather to be fair.
Interesting spread of bikes with Two Monsters, DaveR's 1100 and Dacs' 1000 alongside Steve's Panigale Streetfighter looking awesome.
Roger was on his beloved Harley again, so Ducatis dominated the day for a change.

Looks like we'll be heading for Thorpeness again for June's meet on Sunday 14th.

The clouds looked a little higher, with little bits of blue between them, when it was time to head for home, so I elected to try and get to The Skeyton Goat to catch up with Martyn and Emzedder. Al;as I missed Emzedder who was giving his 750GT what I believe is it's first public showing?

The wind was cold so I didn't stop long but this was my take away..

Nice write up as always Gary, you'll be looking forward to warmer weather for sure.I always seem to be busy on Sundays so normally can't make it to these meetings but pleased you guys are flying the Clunkers flag.

Love that car,it reminds me of a picture I took in the Isle of Man in 2023:

Thanks Kimbo. I think you photographed the same model car. There was an info board about the body as well, but I didn't photograph that, sorry!

I also took a quick pic of this Beeezah which someone had been practicing the ancient Norfolk craft of exhaust Macramé on.
Thought it might interest somebody?

It started off as an A10R (Rocket) I was taken with the copper mudguard decoration in the shape of a Wallace and Gromit style rocket. riveted on.

It brings a whole new meaning to the word “clunkers”…..someone has spent a lot of time, expertise and cash there, any idea what the frame is….looks quality. 😋

The frame is almost identical to the one that the A10 would have arrived with, but this is in fact from a BSA single, you can tell by the little kink just below the bottom of the timing chest.
The singles had that kink to clear a lump on their crankcases, they sat lower in the frame than a twin I think.
It's a reasonably well know trick to put a twin in a single frame as they are a little bit lower and lighter, but it's a squeeze, although the A7 500 goes in with less bother. The A10 is a 650.

Wish I could have stayed to hear it go but it was too cold.

Was down at DynoEcosse getting tyres fitted yesterday and they were working on an OW02…..beautiful bit of kit, unfortunately didn’t have my phone for a photy…..the Evo is now on 35k mls and sailed through the MOT but when I removed the wheels for tyre fitting it was obvious that the front bearings were past their best…..is there no end to the expense of Ducati ownership ? 🤪
