• PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION WHEN ATTENDING A MONSTER MEET/RIDEOUT

    1. All riders ride at their OWN risk.
    2. The UKMOC will not be held liable for any accidents to riders/passengers/motorcycles whatsoever.
    3. You are deemed to be in control of your own motor cycle at all times
    4. Please let the ride leader know, if you are intending to 'peel off' en-route.

    ADVICE FOR THOSE LEADING RIDEOUTS

    1. Make yourself known to all persons who intend to rideout with you.
    2. We recommend the 'Drop-Off' system for group rides.
    3. Find out if everyone has ridden in a group before - if not explain any relevant info.
    4. Ensure all have enough fuel - and locate nearest garages to the meet point.
    5. Ask everybody to ride slightly 'off-set' - eg - do not directly follow the bike in front WHERE POSSIBLE. (this leaves extra braking room).
    6. HAVE FUN!

Seems to come round quick as the season changes.

October's meet will be on Sunday 12th at 10.30am. Stop press. Meet is now 10am,
Venue is The Good The Bad and the Hungry, Vicarage Road, Wingfield, IP21 5RB.

That's just South of Harleston right out in the sticks. Do have fun finding it if you haven't been before, but well worth it for a very nice breakfast in good company and scenery.

Please try and let me know if you're coming, so I can have a better stab at getting the right table.

I'm planning to be there. I found it the last time, but not sure I can find it again.

Booked the table online yesterday and got a message this morning saying I couldn't have 10.30.
They gave me a choice of 10am or 10.50....?????????? Go figure?

So I opted for 10am, I hope that's alright with you chaps?
Looks like Sunday will be a nice day anyway. :p

Just got back from a very long cold ride to stafford classic bike show , the show was brilliant but i am knackered so will be sadly
giving the meet tomorrow a miss sorry guys see you next month...

Just take it easy Walter. Nice hot bath and you'll be a new man.. :D

You would have had a long cold early ride in the morning too. Sorry again about having to move the meet to the earlier time of 10am!

I didn't wake up until 11 lol daft old bugger , near enough 300 miles on a cold day luckily the bike was awesome as usual . Talking to a guy at Stafford who informed me that he had bought a Ducati GT500 ( SURELY THE WORST BIKE EVER TO LEAVE THE DUCATI FACTORY ) for £4k
poor sod

The GT500 must be up there? The 860 was a bit of a munter too but at least you could cheer it up with some tasteful new bodywork and you've got yourself a special bevel twin.

Meeting went really well today, despite turning out to be a quite dismal morning with a lot of mist and even apparently fog hanging around and making the low temp bite a little harder.
But hey! I wired in a Keis socket on the new bike and broke out the heated undies for the first time this end of the year.
The turn out was very good and eclectic as you can see below.

Starting with m'Guzzi, next we have Martyn's gorgeous Featherbed ES2,then Gordon's Triumph 765, Dacs' M750, DaveR's M1100 and Sid's Enfield Bullet.
.... And taken from behind!

Sid's Bullet is actually quite a modern one but has been cleverly "Antiqued" to make it look ancient.
Much mirth was had about the length of my side stand, Martyn proposed a "Stand Off" between mine and his Commando, with the intention of parking them stand to stand and seeing how big a bus we could drive between the bikes.

With Monsters outnumbered two to four, this could qualify as a splinter group meet, but we all enjoy one another's company so who cares?

The meal was great and service superb along with the usual diverse banter.

Afterwards Martyn suggested a bimble over to the Flixton Museum for a coffee and so the remaining non-Monsters headed off down the back lanes on a true splinter group run.

Great day out chaps. Thanks to all for coming.
