Now I've actually managed to finish my Ducati 900ss / Monster project, I've got quite a few unused parts left over.
Rather than them gather dust in my garage and shed, I want to sell them on.
Parts mainly include fairing, side panels, mudguards as well as stuff like 944 HC pistons and barrels, old loom, headlight and speedo, tacho etc.
I'd prefer the parts to stay within the Uk where possible as that's where the help and advice that helped me finish the project came from.
Anyway, I've not done this sort of thing before so where's the best place to do sell such stuff ... ?
As ever, TIA, Richard

P.S. Those who are out and about over the next few days take extra care to keep your shiny sides up....

Loos like I'll be taking some photos and putting some posts up of FleaBay then.
I'll post the eBay on here as well, just in case there are parts of interest to UKMOC members.

P.S.. Might also try the FB "Ducati 2 valve Supersport SS Group" as well .... but sadly they more global than UK.

Currently putting together lists of parts I no longer want/need ... and then I'll have to find out how much I should price them all at.
It'll probably be early February by the time I've got everything compiled and ready to go.

If anyone has something specific that they need then PM me and I'll see if I've got one available ... and I will post the items on here first with an appropriate "mate's rates" price.

We all have different modus operandi of course, but I would get the biggest most awkward things advertised first and hopefully they will make room to get to the bottom of the pile a bit easier, rather than try and evaluate the whole shooting match in one go.
I have a similar pile of "pre-loved" parts that the Commando build generated.
I tend to photograph the item, then package it up and weigh it without sealing the package up straight away, then I can always put extra in or re-jig the package if someone wants multiple items.
You can then measure the package and enter the size and weight into, say for example parcel2go, get the postage cost and be ready to ship as soon as someone orders it.
A fairly easy way to price stuff up is to search for that specific item on eBay and see what others are asking. I tend to pitch below the average asking price and get a quicker sale,.

I was suspisous of this new ebay where its all free to sell. Now they tell me that from Feb 4 when I sell something, I wont get paid until the item has been received by the buyer. Its a way for them to have your money for a few days.

Sounds like an easy way to get scammed if buyer says item never arrived...
