Hi Albie,
Wouldn't have thought a Sachs shock from a later monster woulld be any better than the one already fitted to your bike, unless your original one is totally shagged? The standard Sachs shock on my 900ie was crap, and I swapped it for a secondhand Technoflex costing £200, and while not be in the same league as an Ohlins it's transformed the handling at the back end. I would save your £££ for a better quality replacement, you often see Ohlins shocks on Ebay for around the £250 mark. Hagon Engineering in Essex can also build a replacement shock to your spec for around £300. How's the back doing by the way? :burnout:

I'd only had my 900 for 18 months when it ate the original Sachs shock. It then devoured an EMC. At the moment it's got a Hagon shock which has lasted the longest so far, (about five years now).
