Seat cowl question
Do they just slap into place or is there some clever concealed contrivance to keep them there?

Couple of thumb wheel type bolts underneath.
It's a good move to change them to bolts as some theiving scum may simply twiddle the stock thumbwheel screws out and be off with the seat cowl. Ped

Glueing them up with some super glue works well. Just means the tea leafs can't get them undone without getting the seat off, which requires the key. They still come off easily using a screwdriver once the seat is off.
