Thursday and the sun is shining!!
Hi to all!
As the sun seems to be making some sort of appearance today I was wonderin if the Essex (posse?) Benson, Slob & Jon fancied a burn this evening? Along with whoever else would like to come out and play with some traffic? Also I know it's Wickford this Sunday and are we all still going? there hasn't been anything on the thread to completely clarify it?!?! Reply back soon if you can, or text me on 07739 884155 and let me know!! Cheers Steve |

Ok 11.30 am at Le Castle it is.
I remember reading that Benson and a few others were meeting at the Roebuck? should we make an attempt to join them? or is our gang better than their one? Jon, you up for this? |

Roebuck Hotel for Sun morning meetup
Roebuck is one road from me:
http://www.information-britain.co.uk...ages/3398a.jpg Click for map: Roebuck Hotel, Buckhurst Hill Here is another map zoomed out for those coming from surrounding areas: Roebuck Hotel Basically from the Castle you head off towards Epping and take the right-fork sign posted Buckhurst Hill. Keep on going for about a mile and you will see the road in front of you go down a steep hill with lots of trees on either side. Just before that you will see a sign for the Roebuck on the right-hand side of the road (next to a wooden bus shelter) and it's just off that main road. I'll hear you guys coming past for sure but I'll try be there early to welcome y'all. Gosh I should be the Buckhurst Hill rep Last edited by Eug; 04-06-2004 at 02:44 PM.. |

Hello again Essex chums - hope that the ride out to Burnham was a good one. I came home via Rivetts and a new pair of gloves later my mits feel a whole lot happier - old gloves now consigned to the garden shed and new ones begging, and once again I say begging, to be taken out for a long ride one evening in the sun soon.
Meanwhile an evening run sounds like a good thing to me - we could head off via the Castle Car Park one night maybe out to Ongar - good pub called "The Cock" (Adnams Broadside beer - what more could we wnat??) virtually next to a large car park and opposite Tesco petrol station and metro shoppy thing - the road then heads off toward Chelmsford and we could play about over towards Danbury and Maldon or whatever. NOt sure what my week looks like at the mo but there HAS to be time for a blat around at some point!!! See you soon, ride safe, Rachel |
