Sunday 16th May-report

a glorious sunny morning and a good Monster turn out...
Me.(Boozy)..Didge,Pedro,Melnie Mouse,Batty..and her hubby Steve(on Aprilia)..(hope you enjoyed your first meet),JMo,Jim,Robht,SazzaJ and Eug..well done all

Also carded a new Monster owner..Angela..(sorry forgot your hubbies name on a speed triple)

had a leisurely ride from West Meon, Alton, Odiham, Basingstoke, then headed towards Fox,s Diner..meeting Pete en route at Pangbourne...nice ride to Foxy's where we met up with Fatbloke.

We decided to ride back to Tadley for a drink then head off over Kingsclere downs....ooohhh..dear..
first i manage to loose JMo,Pedro and Steve..(on a 200 yard straight)??then when i go to collect them from 3 miles out Pedro snaped his throttle cable...
so after some ingenious use of cable ties...Pedro got to the pub..

so it was then decided to head homeward...

i have just heard Sazza had a bit of a spill...hope she is ok..

Another good day out Bob apart from the two "incidents"

Happy mine was only a cable and Saz escaped with only bruises!

Ah yes, a lovely day (spill aside...)

Great turnout, with a few new faces as well.

Some more bizarre moments from today - I was outrun by a Westfield (mildly embarrassing), James T was overtaken by a cyclist (yes, a pushbike, very embarrassing), the Sussex & Surreyites had a good wave at a very nice man in a police camera car (thanks to all the cars who flashed us!), and what the hell was that monster truck (car?) outside Midhurst?

Good to be home safe and (relatively) sound.

See you all again soon!

Saz

Photos to follow soon.

Ped,

Take a look at Didge's "Sazza..." thread.

Batty, are you lost again?

yeah yeah - well there was a sodding great roundabout in the middle of it...!

Thanks for eveything today Bob - a splendid run, and fabulous weather too - you must have been doing the little naked dance last night!

And well done everyone who helped out with the mishaps (even if it was simply chin-scratching, eh Steve?!) - we all got home without the indignity of the AA - Proto would have been proud!

Good to meet Batty and Steve too - get your name down quick for the trackday girl, you know you wanna!

See you all again soon...

Eug - "Dude on the Aprilla" was there (somewhere) - it was "Dudes on the ST4" we thought we'd lost at that point... but Mel said they were heading off early anyway (hope that was the case Mike - see you again soon).

it was great to finally meet some people from here ! After
following you all to Fox's from Pangbourne, I discovered what
earplugs are intended for :-)

are not seriously hurt.

Big thanks to Boozy Bob, for lovely day, lovely route, lovely pace up there, beautiful scenery... Fantastic day, and apart from the above mentioned mishaps, Batty & Husband Steve said best ride out ever, so hopefully they'll come again on the next one....

We now know where Boozy get's his name from, we stopped at a pub and everyone knew him! ah ha, it's 'his local' or so he says, I expect EVERY pub is his local then eh? sorry Boozy, but yeah great day, glad everyone o.k...
