Let the transformation begin!
Well after an hour and a half of huffing, puffing and swearing I have finally got the cans on!
I've still got to put the footrests back on once we've figured out how to fit the footpegs to the new LHS hanger, its not easy! Here is a little taster of how things look so far...doesn't Felix look great! STANDARD REAR VIEW SIDE VIEW Last edited by queen_gpants; 30-04-2004 at 02:30 PM.. |

It sounds lovely, they're road legal cans with removal baffles.
I've left them in and Felix has goe from purring to a soft sexy growl :P |

I have high levels and a tea tray and am becoming slightly obsessive re shall i shant i chop it off. i am probably looking at replacing it with an after market teatray, whatcha gonna do with yours?

I've got a DP carbon bug rear fender which I'm fitting tomorrow.
REAR FENDER I'm also fitting a carbon front mudguard but have to get a carbon hugger first as I think it will look a bit odd leaving the standard plastic hugger on for the time being. |

You should fire up the Monster, the 888 & Leigh's TL on Sunday morning about 7.30am...... That'll upset the neighbours!! |

Queen...
Looking at that side view....it seems like you have very little room between your pipes and swing arm.... How close is it on both sides? I ask because we put Jann's (AngelV) on about a year ago and we had about 5mm on one side and nothing on the other...so Jann took the pipes off... Did you have any problems? |

Is that a flash shy number plate or have you doctored the photo? Always wondered if those special plates work. |

Migsangel - there's about a centimetre gap between the pipe and the swingarm, the only concern I have is that the LHS pipe touches the plastic chain guard and obviously this will melt when the pipe gets hot. I'm replacing the hugger anyway with a carbon one so hopefully that will be thinner or I may have to cut a small piece away.
The cans fit really well and because they're fixed to a bracket under the subframe they completely rigid so hopefully the small gap won't be a problem. Duncan - no its not a flash number plate just a bit of PaintShop Pro magic! |

Unfortunately the tea tray will be staying put as the carbon rear fender doesn't fit! My bike is an '02 model and I think the fender must be for the earlier models. The holes don't line up and when you place the fender on the subframe it sticks out where the indicators sit! SUBFRAME So looks another item being sold on! I've modified the teatray a bit anyway and fitted my new smaller number plate and it looks much better NICE ARSE |
