Yes, a centre stand would be great, and wouldn't really get in the way. If you do fit one, let me know how you get on, as I can't get mine to fit properly... but I won't give up!

It can/could? get it the way due to the fact that the kick-down bit sits proud of the cans.
IMO if you are often that far over on the road then it's only a matter of time before you have an off anyway. |

Well Steviej Thought center stand might be a good idea because as you know you can't leave the side stand down and have the bike running. Also the knocking over aspect, sure I could think of some other reasons.... but my brain hurts now!...J x

Spareshack do/did sell bypass switches to allow you to run the bike with the sidestand down. Easy to fit and work a treat; great for warming the beast up! I have one that was fitted to a 750ss. If it will work on your bike then you can have it

Also the stand will allow you to remove wheels etc and oil chain easier (for the un enlightened who don't have an auto oiler )
The stand is only just proud of the cans, and is sprung not fixed....
