Ride Height again....
I want to increase my rear ride height but my bike doesn't have a hoop to adjust, it just has a single bar which is attached to the swing arm at one end and a pivot thingy at the top of the shock absorber.
In order to lengthen the bar, thus increase the ride height, i need to undo two lock nuts at either end of the bar. The top one is easy to undo the bottom one is impossible to get at with a standard open ended spanner because of where it is on the swing arm. See picture Any advice about how I can release this little beast would be much appreciated. Cheers Last edited by slug; 20-03-2004 at 05:32 PM.. |

You might need to remove the hugger first - gives you more room.
*Remember, that one is LH thread - to allow you to adjust it, without taking it out. HTIOH Alan |

Thanks for that. L/H thread! That makes sense. I managed to rotate the bar sufficiently by turning it from the top then moved the bottom lock nut up so I could get the spanner on it. Anyway have now increased the length of the bar by about 6-8mm so will see if it makes any difference to the steering. |
