696 brake pads

According to the Ducati Monster Bible, the 696 runs 'novice friendly' Ferit I/D 450 FF pads, which give a softer initial bite. If you fancy something a bit more aggressive you could try a sportier compound like EBC's HH pads.

It may be that the pads from my 1100 Evo would fit but, as the discs and calipers have different part no.s, I'm not sure.

Never been keen on EBC pads, but that is a personal opinion, prefer SBS RS/LS pads myself

EBC pads are good enough and produce very little dust.
