Met up with Pedro and Slob: where were the rest of you hiding?

An interesting display and parade though. I especially like the TT2s as a possible future project.

As usual, a great display at Sammy Miller's; well worth battling past all those New Forest caravans to get here.

It's always good to see these classics and to hear them too is a special treat. All the poster bikes from the seventies were there plus lots of other interesting rarities and oddities.

Here's just a brief selection that caught my eye:

MV Agusta 350 Twin Sport

Moto Guzzi Condor single

A tidy little Ducati 250 single

A very tasty Darmah

A jewel-like Gilera 500 four

A Mondial 250 Bialbero. Very streamlined but note the restricted steering lock. Still a tighter turning circle than my old 900 Monster though!

Ducati 750 Sport. Sounded even better than it looked.

There was almost as much to see in the bike park. This 750 Monster was interesting with its single-sided swingarm conversion and one-off exhaust:

Anyone know whose it is?

Then there was this tastefully modded 1100 Evo:

Oh, wait, that was mine...

Anyway, anyone wanting a good day out in the south should give Sammy's museum a visit; it's well worth the trip and, if you get to speak to Sammy himself, that's worth the effort on its own!

If you do come, enjoy the Forest roads but do look out for the ponies.

And it wouldn't be an Italian bike day without one of these...

It was built by someone on here about ten years ago, I think he was antipodean and sold it before returning home from West London.
