front fairing

on my 620 monster there seems to be a large gap between the headlight and the speedo and it looks like the wiring could get very wet so should there be a shield or a cover in there somewhere

No sheild.
Why don't I have a look at it since we're only 5 miles apart?

I could come to you or you to me... It's a nice evening.

Really enjoyed having a good look at Tim900's lovely '93 Monster at the weekend..We both learned a lot.

I had a look at Alan's new Monster this evening.....A very clean and tidy 620ie dark...nice.

I am not so familliar with the 620ie as I am with the M series and noticed some significant differences on various things.

Alan has fitted a very nice Chrome headlamp, which does seem to leave a little bit more room than normal between lamp and instrument pod.
The cables go into the pod more to the front than on mine and there is a bit of exposed harness at what I assume to be the (square) multi-pin connector.

Should there be a rubber boot or shroud to protect all the cables coming out of the plug?
