The Great UKMOC Teddy Bear's Picnic.
12Noon Sunday 14th June.
At "Walkers Snacks" Café, Mildenhall. IP28 6AE A few hundred yards off the A11, Barton Mills, 5ways roundabout, on the A1065 (Signposted for Swaffham). The Café is situated in dense woodland a little off the road and has a good reputation for it's food. There are picnic tables outside and seats within aswell I believe. Plenty of parking for bikes, and petrol stations on both sides of the A11 at the roundabout. This a great place to meet and greet for folk from Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and as far afield as you wish to ride. There are lots of new members in East Anglia, this is a good opportunity to have a ride out and say hello with no agenda except to have a good natter with likeminded souls over a bacon sarnie or a fat slice of cake...What reason do you need??.. S,pose we should have one of those UKMOC lists of attendees.....: Mr Gazza

Sounds like it will be worth a bit of A14. I'll do my best to be there.
Good to see streetview keeping up the bins in photo tradition. Blurry ones too! |

I think you can probably count me in for that too.
But at six o'clock our mummies and daddies will take us home to bed because we'll be tired little teddy bears. Or we could adjourn to a seaside hostelry via the fish 'n chip shop. Should be warm enough for a late ride home at that time of year. So, the list..... Gazza NewMon Utopia |

Thank you for the link Dirty..That's the very place.
That's the spirit chaps..I think you may be looking at some nice long rides, so you have resolved me to present a tangible prize for the furthest travelled....Something very tasteful, yet to be decided... Utopia, a seaside run would be hoot on a nice mild afternoon. Which direction were you thinking?..Somewhere round the Wash? or Southwold way? Wells-Next-The-Sea is an easy run from Mildenhall and has the finest Fish and Chips for many a country mile....But we will be there the following weekend anyway.

I unfortunately can't make this as I am looking at wedding venues. I thought this was more important but my missus weirdly didn't agree!
Would be up for a future one here though! Last edited by HereticBalloon; 06-06-2015 at 10:15 PM.. Reason: update |

Surely it's a great place for a wedding reception, and needs further investigation..

OK, how can I refuse? It's only a few miles down the splendid new A11 for me! Plus the MOT on the M750 will still be in date by then. No monsoons though: I don't do bike cleaning...
