Rear brake pedal adjustment
Could someone advise if it is possible to lower the rear pedal of a Monster 900M. I like to ride the rear brake when filtering but find it difficult with the current setting.

Remus, undo the locknut on the master cylinder plunger and wind it right in so it's nowhere near touching the piston.
Then if you look behind the footrest hanger you'll see that the brakelight switch is set against a dome-headed bolt on the brake lever. Just unwind this bolt to lower the lever to the desired position, then do up the lock nut again. Then reposition the master cylinder pushrod again leaving just a little lever movement before the pushrod starts to act on the master cylinder. That should do it! Cheers. Lee. |

Superlight 3. Thanks for the info. I had a quick look tonight but it's a bit cold to work in the garage just now. I didn't see a locking nut, is it behind the rubber gaitor?
