newbie.

Hello everybody!

I'm a very excited new owner of a monster. Its a 620sie, which is BEATIFUL. I've just got off a Suzuki VanVan 125 so its going to be quiiite a change. Been perving over every monster ive seen for the last few years so I'm so glad to be here now!

When I bought the bike it already had raised exhausts and twin headlights which kind of sealed the deal because i would have been doing exactly that as soon as i could. I'm a sucker for a aftermarket exhaust which is why I put a cheeky little Yoshi on my VanVan. Though the exhausts on the monster are SO loud I think I'm going to be pissing a few neighbours off... even more than usual. Anyone know of any sneaky little tips how to lessen the volume? or shall i just man-up and embrace the noise?

Cheers!

Jack

Welcome to the club Jack.
Sounds like you have a big grin on your face with the new addition.
As for making them quieter you could try and find some baffles that would fit in the end cans and bring the noise down a bit.

Hello there - and yes, embrace the thunder.

My 750 isn't loud enough, but I hope one day to be able to fix the problem..

Welcome, pics please! New to the fold myself..
High cans did it for me, I knew I'd buy mine as soon as I saw the ad, how do find the ride?
I found the v-twin engine and short turn a bit of a challenge but love it now!
My neighbour hears me fire up 3 detached houses away but I'd go louder if I could, just enjoy it and take it easy!

You could put an earplug dispenser on a lampost near your house

Just leave earlier in the morning and come in later when they're all in bed asleep

If that doesn't work then some removable baffles which of course you can cut down so they don't totally ruin the aural ambience

Hi Jack and welcome. I like the Van vans. Hey I know the feeling of one to another, My tt500 to the monster 1100s is something else power wise. 29 to 95 hp is well interesting but I still love riding the underpowered bikes. Smiles and appreciation
