Ducati, but not a Monster

I've been very quiet on here for a while. Part of the reason is family related, part because I've been distracted by another Ducati.

So, a year ago, I bought a bike in Italy. It's a 2006 Ducati 749RS, raced by Gianluca Nannelli in World Supersports. We didn't really know anything about the state of the bike, so I immediately had the motor partially stripped to get an idea of it's condition.

It was not pretty, so I took a few months to find the parts for the motor, then the engine builders took a few months to get the motor assembled. I got it back a month ago and started on the cosmetics.

Mark Hill made some db killers and repacked the zaust so I can actually ride the thing.

This is the result:

it was mostly white. And most of that was falling off, as you well know!

But I have more than one set of fairings.
