Adjustable suspension
Picked up my 900 Monster today. Pleased to see that suspension is adjustable. Well sort of. Knob on top of each fork leg, one adjusts rebound damping, t'other adjusts compression damping. No pre-load adjustment that I can see.
Couple of questions then. Firstly are my forks the correct ones. I'd expected pre-load adjustment and adjusters for both damping on both legs. secondly, will forks from other Ducati models fit, 748/916 etc, fit? |

Have you got any adjustment on the top of the forks?
9748/16 style forks wont fit - cos the diameters are different. Monster or other supersports will/may fit. After 97, the SS models - I believe - had a different spacing on caliper mounting - as I have a 98 ss front end - with the late spindle diameter & caliper spacing (63mm). Earlier spacings were 43MM??? I believe. I have a pair of 98 ssIE forks - which are fully adjustable - for sale £300 - VGC. You will prob need later calipers & front wheel. AK |
