novice question No. 2

Ok so my lovely 2000 monster dark 900 ie seems to have two sight glasses. One on the RHS (near the oil filter) erm... thats for checking the oil level right?

And the other on the LHS sort of in the gearbox area? whats that for? could it be for checking oillevel while on a prop stand? Ok ... so at least its a guess......

I thought you lot might know. You seem to know everything else..

and if you know that, go and check my thread under electrics! I'm wondering about that too!!!!!

Dont use that other sight glass for oil level on the prop stand else youll get about 5 gallons of oil in.

Its so you can see the timing marks when servicing the bike.

If you look carefully when its running you can also see the Hamster running round in his wheel.
