Petrol Tanks
Hi Guys,
I've been looking at some of the 'monster art' tanks available for the new plastic tank covers and would like to do something similar to my 2004 M800ie. The tank that's fitted is in perfect condition, and rather than respray it i'd prefer to pick up a second tank and have it sprayed up. can anyone tell me if the metal tanks remain the same throughout the Monster range or if I need to be looking out for a speciific model or year to match my 800? Thanks. |

There is variation the tanks, between carb and injection (I notice yours is an injection model)
Plus there is also a variation in the injected tank depending on the model and if its a plastic or metal tank. Best think to do is to check the part numbers for your tank and compare them to others.

When I was looking for a steel tank, I found an informative tank 'history' writeup, can't remember where I found it but I saved the text to help with my search.
Might be of interest, file attached;
