A group of us went to WDW 2010 ( approx 20 ).
I'm sure there will be as much if not more interest for next year

2010 was ace!

as for prices, it will depend on what route you take down and how long you stay for, last year I budgeted £1000 for 2 weeks which covered fuel, tolls, rooms travelling down and the hotel in Cattolica, plus I had a puncture which required a new tyre to be fitted in Northern Italy, and didnt come home with much in the way of change.
You can do the trip for less, depending on you choice of route and how long you take to travel to WDW.
We allowed 4 days which included a couple of breakdowns and some cracking roads in France.
If you push yourself the journey can be covered in 2, although I would'nt recommend it!

I think I spent nearer £1200

Most of the cash went on fuel, B&B's and road tolls - mileage was 2200 for the round trip

I notice that there has been one mention of camping (in addition to my own).
For me, whether or not I go is a cash issue, so if I did I'd probably be looking to kip en-tent every night if possible, ie on the journey down as well. (There's a certain adventurous feel to it too).
I dunno how feasible that would be, particularly given my preference to travel down with the group, or even whether camp site costs would mean there were only minimal savings to be had. Then again, for all I know it may be possible to pitch a tent for free in rural france or italy.
Anyway, I just thought I'd shout up....in case there should be a camping group developing.
I'd still only be a hopeful maybe, but much more hopeful with a tent.....hopeful enough to make it worth paying serious attention to the cash issue.

Hi there,
yes it was me, I live camping and I have some nice trips done in this way.
Money can be an issue for me ( never know what next year will bring) so its better to fly low with planning than too high- if you know what I mean.
didn't really calcylated this option but it will be cheaper for sure.
Any way its fit discussion. Let me know if you in and we can. Do some planning.
regards
al
