Last chance for Monsters?
As you probably already know from
http://www.ukmonster.co.uk/monster/s...ad.php?t=39813 and my recent email. We're holding a trackday at Mallory on Friday 1st July I'm afraid we're going to have to open this to non-Monsters, since uptake has been lower than I'd hoped from a club with over 1200 active members and I'm not quite ready to become an organ donor yet. Anyway... if you want to guarantee a place on your Monster in your preferred group but are sitting on the fence, waiting to see what the weather's going to do etc. now is the time to book it! cheers Rob -- Last edited by slob; 03-06-2011 at 06:36 AM.. |

It's a shame to have to do it but the recession seems to be biting more than we thought for the owners of their precious Monsters.

That's louigi and me in then. he wanted to bring his Mach 1 single racer but somehow I dont think that will fool the decibel meter so he'll probably bring his monnie and I'll pinch one of his race bikes. Will cough up tomorrow ! Are ducati wolves letting us out on track with their toys ?

Perhaps for many it was a case of either the track day or the weekender but not both?

No the main problem I hear about is that its a friday and not on a weekend. There is also the fact that a lot of members from the active regions live 150 miles plus from Mallory so its a distance to ride prior on the day. This means they need a trailer or van to maybe come the eve before and stay and they cant get that time off. I have every sympathy for them but its a great track and considerably cheaper then most. Its a must for me for it being a great day out.

I would have booked Saturday 2nd in a nanosecond... EXCEPT, they couldn't guarantee 105dB, whilst Mallory have no histiry of testing, a 98dB day full of Ducatis might have been a little tricky

Its a shame that but a reality. People allow noise during the week. But moan on a weekend. Its ok for them to get the strimmers and mowers out though.
Such is life.
