Problem with that is that the news comes from Mediaset News, which has been less that reliable in the past..that said, could well be true

But who will they drop? Not little Danny I hope and Dovi hasn't been to bad either. It's getting like football, if the team doesn't do well they drop the manager like a shot. Surely if the rider has been successful it's not so much the rider with a problem as the bike? Haydn was struggling the the Duke but they've sorted the bike to suit him and he's beginning to get the results, ok he's not winning yet but it's way better than it was. If Honda are having problems could it be the bike, not the rider, so sort the bike to suit the rider and you start winning? Stoner may be a disaster on the Honda, yes he mastered what was supposed to be a difficult bike but could it be that the bike suited him and his riding style?

Unlikely, if only because....... guess who Honda racing corporation's marketing manager is? None other than Livio Suppo who was rumoured to have moved from Ducati after trying it on with Stoner's missus.

That story is as fake as a £3 coin..read it this way instead: Suppo went to Honda to pave the way for Stoner (as a matter of fact, in Spain Livio was spotted talking to Stoners' dad which is, incidentally, his manager). Now Guareschi was put in charge of Ducati MotoGP and, no offense to him intended, he just hasn't got the experience for it, great tester/rider but a MD needs something else. What about if he was put in charge "ad interim" for a year, waiting for JB and Rossi to arrive? more plausible, isn't it?

IMO Pedrosa fell way short of all what was expected from him, both in terms of developing the bike, winning championships (I mean, even Hayden managed that..) and brand image, along with that d*ck of Puig.
You can't have a bike that only suit one rider in the pits, look at Yamaha and see what I mean.
Lots of riders have been successful in 125/250 without making the grade to 500/MotoGp, think Melandri, Biaggi, going back you had Cadalora etc, and even Simoncelli is struggling this year.
Making the bike right for Hayden might have taken the edge off the Ducati, the bike used to buckle a lot more coming out of corners but had, for example, the highest top speed.
Or it may well be they haven't got the best out of the new big bang engine.

Well if Rossi is thinking about retiring as the rumour mill has it, it would be nice to see him finish his career on a Duke. I know plenty of people will hate the idea but it would be nice to see if he can tame the beast and win where others have failed. Of course if he went to Suzuki and won he really would deserve his G.O.A.T title!

It might be true?
Then again, it's slly season, the top riders always tend to leak a rumour that they are going to ride for someone else, primarily to get a pay rise out of their present employer.

I would love to see Rossi on the Duke though.
