Saw that helmet in a shop the other day, one red, one blue'ish, in the flesh they have a sort of see through shimmer as the light catches the different angles, quite 80's neon techno cool.

I think Craft do one... looks the nuts!
I myself just saw the new Simpson Diamondback in purple and went donkingly jaw dropped!! yum! not neat raw carbon but cool as! I so regret selling my matt black one it was the coolest piece of kit I ever owned and I doubt il have £600 to spend on a lid in the near future... There are some really fab carbon lids about nicer then that trust me! Last edited by He11cat; 02-04-2010 at 02:19 PM.. |

I recently invested in a Bell S4R after 15 years of Arais and it's a revelation!
More info here: http://www.ducatisti.co.uk/forum/bik...me-change.html Highly recommended - quiet and light . Mike |

I look like a lego man ive even got mad moon eyes on it lol |

I wanted one of these when hein gericke had their sale a few months back, but they were all sold out in mediums. I went for something else in the end, but do like the carbon look
I have a HJC spare helmet, but need some new cheek inserts I think. Must get around to ordering some... |

Does look smart.
I'm not too clued up on that brand. I've had Arai for some years with a Simpson Super Bandit for riding my old LC, but have recently bought a Suomy Corse lid as it fitted well & I like a bit of a pose! 8) |

Looked into carbon fibre a few years ago. Tried on a BMW sport helmet and it was unbelievably light. BMW seem to have stopped using CF and it seems like other maufacturers are going the same way and only using it in composite. Does that mean it's fallen out of fashion or was just too expensive to catch on ?

I've got one of them, superlight and comfy. It matched my metal flake IE, now clashes magnificently with my yellow carbie

I bought a Craft RXX Barracuda in 2006 that I've been pleased with. Trouble is I favour the Roof Boxer V8 (on my second one) since building the trike. The Simpson lids do look cool, but £600 is a lot to pay for something that doesn't have ACU/BSI approval, They are not road/bike legal in UK - car and race use only. This is a new road legal offering from Craft called the Predator, which I like a lot and costs less than £300
