Travelling to Belgium
Hi guys and girls. I will start this thread too see the preferred route you want to take. Listening to the talk at the weekender it may be the channel tunnel option this year as it seems to be quicker. Better for me coming home sunday nite. I know the ferry was great last year as it gave us a chance to meet and greet those whom we didnt know face to face but it was a second choice due to the fire. Hopefully that wont happen again and also some MOB guys will meet us for ride down. Jan I believe has said he will arrange something.

I'd suggest a train time between 9.00am-10.00am on Saturday 19th Sept., just so we don't all have to get up with the Larks.

Albie Tunnel sat/sun 8-9.59 return 21-21.59 £31.00
That ticket I presume cover between 8.00 and 10.00. Seems good to me.

ok, yes, just the one night stay is cheap, £31, but two night stay is about £51.
Why don't we suggest the 9.20 or 9.50 departure on the Saturday to start the target train. I'd suggest the 9.50, up to you

Yeah, I vote chunnel
I was knackered by the time we got there and the travel sickness wasn't great either 4am was not something that previous existed from the morning side. I would prefer to travel a a slightly slower pace than blurred scenery, not sure how the shoulder is going to hold up to the wind (the other one was sore last time from the previous off). That's my 2p |
