Southend Shakedown

Is anyone from here attended Southend Shakedown this weekend? It is on from 10:00-17:00 down at the front at Southend.

I'll be there on the Monster, maybe see some of you there?

Mark

Just got back mate. Poor show from Monsters, only spotted mine and one other there!

Good day, next year will plan more time for it as I was only down the sea front for an hour or so. Headed up on the 127 and waited for the main group to come by and rode in with them.

My poor lonely Monster:

Hello mate

I didn't even know about it until i saw it on the local news this morning. I went down on the Monster at about 10am, then came back at about 11.30 on the SuperSport. I wanted to give both bikes a quick run this weekend, so this was the perfect chance to do just that.

Very few Ducati's in general and even fewer Monsters. Highlights included a lovely 900 Paso in Red and a 1098 in Red. Only saw two Monsters, a Red S4 on a 56 plate and a Pale blue one, but didn't see much of that one.

Like you said, will have to do it again next year. Did you make it out on the 9th of March?

Yeah was dying of cold but headed down with the other half for some chips. Would of been a poor show if I didn't considering I was only a couple of miles away!

Think I might have clocked eyes on your SS, did you leave it parked half way down against railings?

Apparently they broke the 20,000 bikers mark this year despite the weather!

Would have been good to have a line of Monsters there though.

That was my SS, parked up by the railings! I've been spotted on another bike, the shame of it! At least its a Ducati!

I really wanted to do the 9th but i had to go up north on saturday at short notice with work. I drove back on sunday and went down the A127 at about 2pm, just to see a huge convoy of Monsters going the other way. I was not amused!

Must try and arrange another meet, and with the weather (hopefully) getting better now, we should be able to get a nice little meet up.

Snow joke

Had the weather decided to be more like spring than mid winter, i think you may have got a few more monsters at southend. It was snowing on and off here until about lunchtime so the trike stayed in the garage.

How about a roll up to SouthWold Fish 'n' Chips down by the harbour and a shady by the lighthouse.

Only a suggestion. I thought I's throw out there.
