Smile Hi!!! from Leicester

Hi there i'm Ruth i'm 24 and from Leicester.
I passed my CBT in July and have been riding around since then on a Suzuki Intruder 125.

I am very short 4ft8 with a inside leg of 23" hence the cruiser.

Not happy with the cruiser and i would love a 'proper' bike.

Looking at the monster but would need to be lowered, considerably.

Posted a thread in the fourm regarding this, just wanted to introduce myself first!

Thanks Ruth x

Scotty, I think the correct term is 'vertically challenged'

Ruth, welcome to the club. There are loads of great people here with a real passion for monsters. Enjoy!

Hi Ruth,

he's right, there are some vertically challenged people on here, i prefer using the term 'petite' for woman, blokes are just short arses

enjoy the site!

Hi, the new Monster 696 is lower than the old style monster. Go to www.ducati.com and take a look. It should be sensibly priced for a new Ducati too as its the entry level for the new range.

Hi Ruth.

I'm from Leicester too (for my sins). When do you plan to take your test?

Mand

PS sorry I can't help you with the seat lowering thingy, I'm a lanky bugger.

Julie those bike's are too clean !
Do you hand out punishments to each other to clean the bikes ?

And Ruth welcome to the club.

I occasionally suffer from attitudinal tranisitonal challenges, Is that the same kind of thing?? LOL (glugg glugg fall over)

Hi Ruth and welcome, There was a recent strand on this but I can't remember (Oh did I mention mentally challenged too) who started it but someone will though!!
Basic premise seemed to be that it depends on the monster version. Front end drops in the yokes, rear end needs more thought and what you can do depends totally on what you get.

Welcome - I'm in Whitwick not too far away. A friend of mine is in a similar position - she's just got the Daytona ladystar boots for that extra inch or 2 - but is waiting til after her test to look at a bike. There'll be lots of advice for you on here about lowering the bike.

Good luck with the test.

Hi Ruth, I'm in Melton. My partner rides my M600 she is about 5'2. I think you could have the seat cut down and made narrower thats the cheapest option.
