reducing pictures to fit on gallery?

Hello i would like to put some pictures of my bike's on the gallery,but i am at a
complete loss as to who to do it.

It seems i have to reduce the size of the picture or the amount of MB used for each picture can any one help.

I use Paint Shop Pro to crop and resize photos but there are alsorts of other programmes that'll do the same

Simplest I have found is just to use Microsoft Photo Editor, open the pic, select image from the tool bar and then resize then Save as. You may have to play around with the % reduction until you get the file small enough
