Idiots guide to wiring LED's

Can anyone help with an idiots guide to wiring LED's. I have replaced my speedo and want to put some of the idiot lights in the new speedo via leds. Similarly if anyone can offer any advice on making up an led tacho that would also be useful, if possible.

Thanks
Stuart

Why bother faffing around making one when you can buy one?

They even do neat billet housings

As for the LED idiiot lights - you can get some that will take a 12V supply direct, but for others fit in line resistors as they typically only need 2-3volts.

Someone like Maplins should be able to advise and supply

Reference the LED tacho, can you make use of the datatool revlight? It'l be a lot easier than building your own.
