rear shock for early 600 monster

Hi,
im not having much luck in finding a stock rear shock for my 96 600 monster. Can anyone help??? Ive heard that the mountings are different for early and later models so need the earlier type if this is true?

cheers.

The monsters used two different frames, the earlier ones had the 888 frame, the later ones the ST frame. Easy way to tell them apart is by looking at the rear suspension, if there's a hoop connecting the swinging arm to the shock linkage it's an early one. As far as I recall all 600s use the early frame, later ones (620s) use the ST frame.
As JC says, go onto the DSC site and ask the desmodue racers. I believe Skidlids has a spare one which he'll let you have at a good price I'm sure.

I've got a fully adjustable Showa shock off my '94 888, only done 16000 kms, in very good nick, no leaks or anything

If it'll fit drop me a PM and make me an offer, I was only going to bung it on Fleabay anyway

p.s off to Mallory so won't be back online til Friday night
