Urgent advice needed
I have been trying to sort out the bike and on checking my fuel pipes closely, i dont appear to have any leaks from the pipes. However, there is a slight chance that my fuel pump maybe goosed. So my question is, The plate on the front which screws on to the pump body has a gasket behind it. This is where i suspect its leaking. Can i use a gasket sealer, or is it a real bad idea to take this off? Has anyone ever done this? What will be the best way i.e. remove the old gasket or use it with the sealer?

If you're dealing with a petrol leak, the sensible thing you can do is replace the old gasket with a new one, it is the only safe thing to do. This is just my opinion, but what do I know !!!
