Best Tyres for the 620

Since buying my 620ie 2.5 years and almost 18,000 mies ago I have mostly been using the following tyres:

1. Original fitted Dunlop D204s - changed at 10,500 miles, still had about 1,000 miles left in them! Grip not brilliant but good neutral steering even when rear squared off.

2. For a change I then tried Pirelli Dragon GTS. These were not very good. The steering was odd- the front always wanted to turn in too far on slow corners and roundabouts - always felt like I had to countersteer to hold the bike up! weird. The rear was squared off after 7,000 miles and felt really horrible on anything other than really smooth roads. Grip not bad though.

3. Just had BT020s fitted - Brilliant! Great precise and neutral steering from the front end - inspire lots of confidence. Seem to be the grippiest of the 3 types I have tried so far. Obviously can't yet tell what they will be like after 7,000 miles but so far I can highly recommend them if you have a 620.

The original equipment Dunlops were bloody hard wearing! I remember one of the bike mags commenting on this just after I bought my bike in 2002.

I've tried loads of tyre's and at the moment the ones I like best are
Dunlop 207's or 208's sticky as hell, warm up real fast but not the
best for high milage.
