1200R with termis noise level

And are there baffles anyone used that bring noise down to 102ish?

I'm going to a road bike only track day at Donington this coming Monday 4th Sept. The drive by noise limit is 98dB, so I've put the baffles in both Termis on my M1200R with the hope that I won't be black flagged.

I'll let you know how I get on!!

Yes will definitely be interesting to know as there are quite a few bikes not getting through the ride by noise tests at some circuits ....I know of at least two occasions where 10 and 1198's haven't got through plus Cross plane R1's have failed at MSV tracks all running standard exhausts.

Ironic thing is the planes into and out of East Midlands airport fly right overhead at Donny making loads of noise- even through the night.

Had a great day at Donington and relieved to have no problem with the drive by noise limit of 98dB with baffles in both Termis on my M1200R - despite red lining down the straights.

One black flag is a warning and a second is a definite elimination, so took it steady at first in 'Sport' mode and as I didn't get black flagged changed to 'Track' mode - still no problem.

Told in the briefing that it was the Panigle V4s that had a problem.

Baffles came with the Termis and dead easy to fit - and remove afterwards!! I'm sure you can buy replacements on eBay.

‘Track’ mode?

AFAIK 1200R has ‘Urban’, ‘Touring’ & ‘Sport’
Touring and Sport have the same power, just different TC, ABS & TPS settings, so won’t affect noise level

It’s a display setting Rob, less in fo on the dash IIRC

Anyone got Baffles for R Termis then as I do not know were mine are?

Alternatively are mine still in how do I know?

look into the end of the pipe, almost every db killer i’ve seen has a cross-bar to aid removal.
you should be able to see the lip if the baffle tube anyway
