Which service, and where? (nr Bristol)

Hi, I could do with some advice on what kind of service I need on my recently aquired Monster 695.
It's a 56 plate bike, with 7500 miles on the clock. The service book shows that it had the full cambelt service at a main dealer 18 months and 4000 miles ago. When I bought the bike 2 months and 500 miles ago I had the independent dealer do the oil and filter change and an MOT.

Now that the maintenance message has come up on my clocks I should think about booking it in for a service. Question is which one? Do I need to shell out for a full cambelt service given that the last one was 18 months ago, or can I get by with a regular service (or less) given that only 4000 miles have been travelled?
Obviously I want what is best for the bike, but equally don't want to splash money about that I don't really have.

Seondly, as I am in Bristol I have the option of Riders (main dealer) or going to JHS or Luigi Moto, both Ducati specialists. I've heard good things about the latter two, although not sure what Luigi would charge me. Any suggestions?

Cambelts should be done every two years so you're getting close to the next big service by the sound of it.

Take it to Rich at Louigi Moto. Just Half Serviced is NOT a Ducati specialist.

Louigi Moto for me my bike broke down in devon came and picked it i just pay for petrol needed new sprag clutch and all bits, sevice and belts for a better price that some ducati dealers quoted for the sprag clutch nice bloke too milli

My monnie is currently with Rich at Louigi's. Rich is really friendly and came well recommended by my Unc Baz. Deffo don't go to Riders, they've opened a place in Cardiff and I nearly **** a brick when I enquired about new wires for the side stand cut out whe mine melted. Suffice the bike now sports a cheeky little bypass.

Riders do charge a fortune!!! I got a quote for fitting new chain and sprockets (labour only, I had the parts) and they quoted me £217!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Got it done by local place for fifty quid!

Good to know bout Louigi though as I'll be near Bristol soon (when I FINALLY move!)

Phoned up Louigi, they quoted me £160 plus parts and Vat for the belts service. Reckon should come to about £300 all in, which is not so bad. Now I just need to save up and book her in...

just to throw a spaner in the works you could try Scooter - Red, Ducati specialist, guy that runs it is incredible, well priced and very helpful, he owns a 900 an S4 an an Elefant (which I think runs a Ducati monster 900 engine as standard)

They can be called on 01242 263111

Dont be put off by the fact he also sells scooters, he is very highly regarded round here and is really reasonably priced.
