I have been thinking along similar lines Darren, but I was thinking that maybe the pin has developed grooves where the rollers track and the lip is causing it to jam...Although probably unlikely?.

If the pin has gotten so far and refused to budge any further, would it be worth trying to bash it back the other way? If it has got a groove or busted rollers jamming it, it might go in the other direction easier??

If all else fails I think the only answer would be spark erosion, if that is available in Thailand?
