Fitting new clocks with no keys?

Hi all, Has anybody any idea how I should go about fitting a brand new "virgin" set of Digitec electronic clocks (for 2006 Sport Classic), in conjunction with a 5AM ecu programmed to suit with the (dreaded) immobiliser turned off. The BUT is that I do not have any of the key recognition bits fitted, meaning that I cannot follow the standard Ducati procedure via the red key. I have tried just plugging the instruments in but this seems to have just made the ecu turn the immobiliser back on, all highly irritating and more than a little frustrating. All knowledgeable assistance gratefully received Bitza.

I think if you have the code card you can enter the code manually the same as if you put the red key in. Iirc the procedure for this is in the factory workshop manual.

Did it run okay with no clocks before you plugged them in?
My track bike (based on 03 M1000) uses a FIM ECU (no immobilzer) and runs fine with or without clocks. It does still have the ‘aerial’ plugged in, which might be worth trying if you still have the connector on your loom.
I’m puzzled that plugging a set of clocks in could re-enable the immobilizer.
I’d email Avanti Race Parts for advice on Webber-Marelli ECU issues, as he’s very knowlegable about the firmware/software.
