I know a lot of people tend to just cross their fingers and hope not to bin their bike, but who and where is recommended for single day insurance cover for the track day.
If I didnt have bad luck I wouldnt have any luck at all, so your feedback would be much appreciated.

Cheers
Deano

Is there somewhere to get breakfast in the paddock, or is it a case of getting the primus out.

If it's any help I stopped overnight here for 2004 UKMOC trackday

http://www.daysinn.com/DaysInn/contr...570&variant=uk

For the 2005 trackday I camped outside the pub at Mallory circuit

Which due to a lock-in from 11.30pm-1.30 am turned out to be a very bad idea

Pub has since sadly closed it's doors

Sorted Can't function without a bacon sarnie.

The early start means I would have to be out of the house by 5am, I have done this on previous track days and combined with the heat, I was knackered after lunch and found it pointless to go out.
So this time I'm going to kip in the trailer.

Seriously seriously tempted to sign up for this but it's the day before I get married so it might not be one of my better decisions!! I don't think wife-to-be would be too impressed if I turned up for the big day in plaster! I may well pop along to be sociable and help anybody that needs spannering done as I will only be stewing about the big day if I'm sitting at home with nothing to do.

I have some one piece leathers that could be borrowed if you ask nicely. They will fit anybody that is a 10stone midget or smaller!

Good luck to the organisers, I hope this day is a success.

Hi, I've only come across companies willing to insure by having a look on Google.
I think when I looked a couple of years ago it was about £300 for a day vs the £115 ish price of a trackday. Decided not to pay it, and 20 trackdays later I've never had a problem, touch wood.

You ride as fast or as slow as you like on a trackday, it's not a race and building it up slowly over the course of the day is the way to go. Warm your tyres, don't go hacking into corners and hope it'll be ok, be courteous to other riders and you'll have a great day.
