Nose cone/fairing monunting kits

I recently purchased a used nose cone/fairing for my M600, it's the early type with the little lip that comes down over the top of the headlamp. Problem is, I have no fitting kit for it and have no idea what the fitting kit should look like. I did have the same nose cone on the bike before I crashed it, but that one had been previously damaged and I made my own mountings.

Looking at the replacement fairing and offering it up to the bike I'm assuming there is a bracket each side that mounts to the front of the top yoke and something on each headlamp bracket that locates in the moulded in 'hooks' on the lower part of the fairing.

Would one of you kind people be able to photograph your mountings so I have an idea of what I need to fabricate if I can't find the correct OE kit please?

Not the same fairing, mine is the same style as this one. It's more a half nose cone or a flyscreen than a fairing.

That's not an early version then. That's a 2000 plus version mk II.

All those brackets are on ebay the same. Cheaper and more available then.

Albie has kindly linked to the later headlamp brackets that you will need for that fairing.
The hooks engage on rubber bobbins that are held on by the indicator mounting bolts.
You will need to move your indicators from the yoke to the headlamp brackets, but I'm not sure if the early square ones will have the same type of mountings as the oval ones used with those headlamp brackets.

The right-angle brackets go where your indicators probably are presently, so you'll have to move them anyway. You will probably also have some redundant square tubular plastic mounts from the inner ends of the square indicators.

That's wonderful, thank you. I have found and ordered a pair of top brackets for a total of £11.

I bought the bike asa a tatty but running and legal project a year ago to compliment my KTM790 Adventure and serve as my lightweight town and commuter/fun on the backroads tool - the KTM is for distance and touring. Since I bought it I have repainted just about everything back to standard and turned it into a really nice not quite standard but tasteful example. It came with a previously damaged /repaired half nose cone like the one I linked to, but the hook mouldings were missing and the fairing was held on with some awful home made bracketry that I removed. I made some simple right angle brackets with nutserts, very similar to the Ducati ones I've just bought off ebay and made a couple of flat strip brackets to act as additional support off the indicators I have fitted to the headlamp brackets.

I don't have the old square indicators mounted off the top yoke, it did have cheap and nasty aftermarket LEDs when I got it, which I have swapped out for 2000 onwards oval ones mounted in holes previously drilled in the headlamp brackets. Just a shame whoever did the job didn't measure up and mount them in the same place from side to side on the headlamp brackets and now I have to source replacement brackets or make my own. I'll figure the rubber bobbins myself, I'm bound to have something suitable in one of my 'useful junk' boxes.

This gives me something to keep me busy while I'm sat on my backside at home waiting for 6 broken ribs (most broken in multiple places) and a broken shoulder and punctured lung to repair after throwing the Ducati into a hedge 3 weeks ago.

The rubber grommets are cheap from ducati and the top hat steel spacer washers are reasonable too. Not worth faffing about with tbh. But they are available from any decent dealer like Moto Rapido with a club discount if you ask them.

Decided to take advice from those who know and buy the genuine parts. Need a pair of suitable 2000 onwards headlight brackets now... know of any going spare please?
