I'd like to think the club has enjoyed a steady upturn in attendance of riding events over the past 12 months or so.
The last two Weekenders seem to have reversed a declining trend? There is no shortage of events where Monster owners can meet up, and we do frequently.

Events over the past month seem to have strengthened the wonderful warm family feel of the club.. It's an honour to be part of it.

The forum is one of the best club forums going, despite it's mechanical failings, it's still easy to use, friendly, informative and even highly entertaining at times.
It loads up quickly, unlike others that tow hundreds of ads in their wake.
The leader board shows the most recent threads and posts and is easy to navigate
It does get a bit boring explaining to newbies how to post a picture, but it's easy when you know how and at least we don't get folks posting pictures of their breakfasts every day and so forth. I've never used Faceplant, I believe it is a great destroyer of things and should be avoided. It's not for our club.

You are doing a great job of looking after things Rob. I hope you can improve things without changing them too much, and remember there are plenty of folk out there willing to help if they can.

I’d love to return to where we were a decade ago.
15 bikes on Belgium trip... 10 on to LeMans 24Moto via Nurburgring
30 bikes at WDW,
60 bikes on weekender national rideout
I seem to remember 24 bikes at Belgium once. I used to ride 400 miles almost every weekend once. I never thought I would be so inwardly useless so to spoil my days. I hope for better things in the future like most and I pray to return to freedom and a ride to Belgium again and ride all around the coast of UK.
I'm still hopeful.

Added a little info in post #4

Sorry Richard, is this answering your original Q? I’ve hijacked your original question a lot!

Sorry Albie, above are ‘guestimates’, your remeniscing will only detract from the lengthy ‘UKMOC & Forum v2.0’, (please don’t delete your post, it perfectly illustrates a useful point, and I don’t mean to have a go at you) Plus, yes! Coast2Coast run 2017 was epic, shame we didn’t get round to ‘25th Anniversary Round The coast Relay’ I may however delete future distractions.

I intend to use my recovery period to get this done.

Thank you for a comprehensive reply I did not mean to put you to so much effort.
Regardless of my or anyone else's status it is a great forum and I appreciate the effort that goes into administering it

Moved thread to ‘Help & Site FAQ’

Gazza, Yes! (I missed your post originally due to typing on my tiny phone) Largely due to work by you and other area reps.
Fortunately I have already done quite a bit of planning for new structure to improve forum but ‘no battleplan survives first engagement’ :-)
I still think we need to draw in younger Monsteristi, long term we can’t all be 50something men... or the end is in sight.

Richard, glad you gave me a nudge.

Also want to encourage/empower women riders.
I don’t want to be fun police but no ‘mansplaining’ in ‘post #metoo world’,
Biking is historically as misoginystic as the rest of society.
Imagine your 20yo daughter just bought Monster. This is UKMOC, not a dating/grooming site.

Still no LAMP specialists want to stick their heads above parapet?

...not helpful Gaz ... but funny, stay on topic

LAMP = Linux Apache MySQL PHP (high % of WebServers run this)

So here's a thought... we probably haven't got that far yet, but.
Not sure how our website maintenance is funded? I would like to think it is not coming out of the pockets of a few private individuals.
Hiring a professional IT guru might be an option for the proposed work. I personally wouldn't mind at all, chipping in for this, and I bet a load more would do so willingly.. Do they call that crowd funding or something these days?

This is running 3.8.3 which must be getting on for 10 years old.
First plan ought to be review infrastructure, what's the host, what's the available space.
Then look at versions, is it worth upgrading to 4.n.n or 5.n.n probably a no if there are licence costs.
Would any upgrade change PHP versions and what would that break.

Then for pictures is the addition of an image store going to hit the space too hard. Is it native to 3.n.n or do you need an add-on, and again is that a freebie or have a licence cost.

<< Noooo I've just used LAMPS for stuff.
